FLAG MATCH PLAYED AT WEEK-END A flag match was played at Queen’s Park at the week-end and resulted in a win in the A grade for G. Hughes, who placed the flag 20 yards from the eighteenth green. EChecketts won the B grade, placing the flag 18 inches from the 18th hole. A stableford match was won by D. W. Robertson with 31 points. Additional results in the Holloway Shield are- E. H. Ball beat S. Blomfleld 2 up; F. H. Hughes beat R. T. Barnett 3 and 2; E. Checketts beat G. Westerby 2 and 1; G. E. Glennie beat C. W. Frances 2 and 1; D. Richardson beat H. Smith 2 and 1. BLUFF CLUB In a qualifying round for the Captain’s trophy at the Bluff golf links the following returned the best scores of the eight who qualified:—H. A. Ferguson 84-24-60; L. Morrison 98-36-62; C. Parsons 89-25-64, H. Neil 79-15-64. The Ladies’ Club played an eclectic match, the winner being Mrs Eadie.
