TWO FIRES AT WEEK-END

The Invercargill Fire Brigade received two calls yesterday morning. The first was at 4.16 a.m. to 92 Pomona street, where fire had broken out in a detached shed at the back of premises owned by Mr R. Frampton. The shed and its contents were destroyed and slight damage was done to the rear portion of the house. The second call was at 11.12 am. to a house at the comer of St. Andrew street and Elies road owned and occupied by Mr J. Pedlar. The fire was confined to an oven where fat had been overheated. No damage was done.
