“AWAKE NEW ZEALAND” CAMPAIGN

The “Awake New Zealand” campaign was advanced a further stage on Saturday night when an enthusiastic meeting was held in the Otama Hall. Messrs F. Wallis (chairman), W. D. Shelton and N. M. Sandes, of Group 12A Citizens Offence Committee, addressed the meeting and outlined what was being done to assist the Home Guard in the group. An appeal for financial support met with a good response and a committee, which was appointed, will conduct a thorough canvass of the Otama and Wendon districts.
