SOLDIER DIES OF INJURIES

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 1. A soldier riding a motor-cycle was fatally injured in a collision with a motor-van at 9 o’clock today at the intersection of Queen and Victoria streets. He was Private William Albert Hounslow, aged 37, married, a dispatch rider, of Mount Eden. The van was owned by the meat firm of R. and W. Hellaby. Private Hounslow died in hospital shortly after his admission.
