YUGOSLAV RESISTANCE.— Armed resistance throughout Yugoslavia is assuming ever-increasing proportions. An Italian colonel and 30 soldiers were killed and others were wounded in recent fighting near Ljubliana. The Italians announced that their planes are bombing villages near Zara, on the Adriatic coast, as a reprisal for the killing of the governor of the province, with three of his officers, while he was inspecting Italian garrisons in the interior of the country. A Zagreb communique issued by M. Anton Pavelitch, the Croatian traitors’ leader, refers to pitched battles near the towns of Rogadiza and Sokolovac. (Rugby.)
