MEN’S HOCKEY

WINS FOR HIGH SCHOOL The second round of the Southland Men’s Hockey Association’s competitions were played on Saturday in fine weather. The ground was slushy and the standard of play was only fair. In the senior grade High School defeated Technical by 4 goals to 3. Goals were scored for High School by Speirs (2), Greenfield (1) and Pettigrew (1). Sinclair, who played a good game for Technical, scored three goals. The play in this game was very even, but the better combination' of the High School players won the game. Messrs W. Curwen and G. Hope were the umpires. In the junior grade High School B beat Technical B by 5 goals to 0. Morrison (High School) played an outstanding game and paved the way for many of his side’s scoring movements. Hamilton, played a sound game for Technical. Messrs J. Chisnall and W. Curwen were the umpires.
