VISIT OF MUSIC GROUPS
DUNEDIN PARTY TO APPEAR AT INVERCARGILL It was announced yesterday that Dr T Vernon Griffiths, musical director at King Edward Technical College, Dunedin had agreed to bring ensembles of string players and a choir to Invercargill next week to give two musical programmes in the Victoria Concert Chamber Dr Griffiths, who was recently appointed professor of music at Canterbury University College, has had,remarkable success in training the students at the Technical College, and entertainments presented by the children have delighted critical audiences. As examples of musical activities m schools, the programmes next Saturday should attract large attendances of music lovers, parents and teachers. A special programme will be presented for children in the afternoon.
