AWARDS WON BY N.Z. AIRMEN
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 29. Pilot Officer James Fraser Barron, R.N.Z.A.F., who was recently awarded the D.F.M., was born in Dunedin in January 1921 and educated at the Waitaki Boys’ High School and Wellington Technical College. He is a son of Mr James Barron, Palmerston North. Sergeant George Henry Dow, R.N.Z.A.F., who was also recently awarded the D.F.M., was bom in England in February 1910 and educated at Wellington College. He is a son of Mrs A. L. Dow, Wellington. Acting Wing-Commander George Gatonby Stead, R.A.F., who was awarded the D.F.C., was a direct entry to the Royal Air Force and no personal details are held at Air Headquarters, Wellington.
