FIRE CALLS IN APRIL
Of 10 calls received by the Invercargill Fire Brigade last month seven were false alarms. However, six of these alarms were justifiable, and only one was malicious. The three actual fires were all chimney fires. In April 1941 there were nine calls, made up as follows: —Property fires, 5; rubbish fires, 1; chimney fires, 2; false alarms (justifiable), 1.
