TWO JOCKEYS INJURED (P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, March 1. Two jockeys -were injured, one severely, at the finish of the last race of the Taranaki Jockey Club’s meeting on Saturday when Martarawa (N. Vaughan) swerved near the post. A collision occurred with the favourite, First Girl (W. J. Broughton). Captain Gale (W. Reid), who was following, was also involved. Reid scrambled clear. Vaughan and Broughton were sent to hospital, the former with a bruised shoulder. He was discharged today. Broughton suffered a fractured left collarbone. The latter’s two wins on Saturday made him the premier horseman with 28 wins.
