WEEK-END TRAIN TRAVEL
Several picnics were held on Saturday, the fine weather adding to the enjoyment of the outings. One or two small excursions went to Bluff, the trains being well patronized. Four hundred passengers travelled to Otautau on the Ocean Beach excursion train. Stock traffic is holding up well and on Sunday a special train was run from Wairio, bringing fat stock to the freezing works.
