EXCURSION TO COLAC BAY

The Waimea combined schools held their annual excursion to Colac Bay yesterday. In spite of the inclement weather the excursion was well patronized, approximately 600 persons travelling by rail. The excursion train picked up passengers from Croydon to Lintley, near Lumsden, ran to Lumsden and then down the Winton line to Colac Bay. On the return journey the train passed through Invercargill and Gore. This is known as the triangle route.
