HOSPITAL IN SCHOOL
A letter was received at the meeting of the Southland Education Board yesterday from the head master of the Winton District High School reporting that he was working in conjunction with the local medical unit of the E.P.S., which was planning a hospital in the school. His committee had granted its consent. As the plan included the use of the manual training school, which was not under the control of the committee, the board gave its consent to the use of that building also. The board also approved the granting of a request by the Mataura E.P.S. for the use of the Mataura school as a clearing hospital in cases of emergency.
