GIFT TO QUEEN FROM POLISH SOLDIERS
(8.0.W.) RUGBY, January 22. A gift from Polish soldiers serving in Russia was-presented to the Queen at Buckingham Palace today by General Sikorski, Polish Commander-in-Chief. The gift takes the form of a plaque made from old Polish coins. Polish knights used to wear such a plaque on their armour as a mascot
General Sikorski was asked by the Polish troops, when he was in Russia recently to bring the gift to Britain and present it on their behalf to the Queen. 1
