PILOT OFFICER DANIEL JOSEPH CLIFFORD, missing on air operations; wife, Mrs D. J. Clifford, Browns Bay. Auckland. SERGEANT LAURENCE WARREN HUNT, killed in action; father, Mr W. E. Hunt, Albany, Auckland. PILOT OFFICER GEORGE WILLIAM ANNAND. slight injuries through enemy action; father, Mr B. C. Annand, Trentham. LEADING AIRCRAFTMAN FRANCIS GLUYAS, slightly wounded; father, Mr F. Gluyas, Morven. PILOT OFFICER GREVILLE LLOYD HESKETH, killed in action; father, Mr H. R. Hesketh, Auckland. SOUTHLAND AIRMAN MISSING Sergeant John Benjamin Oliver, son of Mr W. A. H. Oliver, Hollywood Terrace, has been reported missing as a result of air operations in the Far East. Sergeant Oliver was educated at the Waihopal school and the Southland Boys' High School. At the High School he played in the first eleven and had much success in swimming events. On leaving school he played for the Invercargill Cricket Club’s senior team and played junior football for the Old Boys’ Club. Sergeant Oliver, who was a member of the staff of Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd., went overseas early iast year.
