Voluntary Aid Examinations. —The members are rerfiinded that the examination for sanitation and hygiene will take place tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. in the new voluntary aid lecture room, New Zealand Express Company’s buildings, Don street. Home nursing examination (written paper) will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the lecture room, voluntary aid rooms, New Zealand Express Company’s building. Practical examination will be held on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the same quarters. The transport members vzill meet at Vickery’s garage on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Drill, as arranged, at 10 a.m. Rugby Park. DEPOT NEWS Within recent weeks, through the courtesy of a local shipping agent making space available, three cases of new' personal clothing, both children’s and adult, also warm quilts, were shipped to Russia. This is the first consignment to be sent direct. This week a donation has been handed to the society from the Little Southlanders, and it is intended to use this donation to purchase the beds and baby’s bassinette used in the training of the future voluntary aids. The members are thanked for their kindly thought in this direction. Next week the North Invercargill Committee will be in charge of the depot, Esk street. The society thanks the following for donations: —Wyndham Sub-Centre, £2O; Winton Sub-Centre, £4O; Little Southlanders (for voluntary aid furnishings £3l/5/6); Mrs Crighton, Waimahaka, Winton Sub-Centre and “Wellwisher.” COMMITTEE NOTES NORTH INVERCARGILL The committee of the North Invercargill branch invites the members of the sewing guild to a social afternoon tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. in the North Invercargill hall. As this is the last meeting for the year, the committee would like as many members as possible to be present. Notices will be sent to all sub-centres next week regarding aiTangements for insurances on emergency chests. Would sub-centre secretaries please have all particulars ready to forward to centre secretary, Mrs E. Sinclair. Linen.—Will sub-centres please return any samples belonging to the depot when they are finished with them.
