BRITISH OBLIGATIONS TO ICELAND
(Rec. 8.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, November 22. The United States has agreed to underwrite Britain’s financial obligations to Iceland, amounting to about 20,000,000 dollars a year. The agreement provides for the payment of dollars for Iceland’s fish and fish-oil, the chief export products, which will be shipped direct to England and charged to Britain under the Lend-Lease Act.
