Barclay, Minister of Agriculture, in replying tonight to certain statements that were alleged to have been made about the export of blood and bone from this Dominion. “The fertilizer position,” said Mr Barclay, “is such that exports of this product would not be in the national interest and therefore no permits to export blood and bone have been granted during the past 12 months, nor is there any intention of relaxing this embargo.”
