ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
INVERCARGILL MEN’S DIVISION The weekly meeting of the Invercargill Men’s Division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade was held at brigade headquarters. Advice was received that a “field night” is to be held on Saturday, November 22. Several evenings of this nature were held last year with complete success, and as this is to be the first this season it is the aim of the combined divisions to enter a record number of teams for the competitions. During the evening two teams were selected from the members present and a'start was made immediately to bring them up to competitive form. The work engaged in included bandaging, splinting, stretcher exercises and 'rtificial respiration. Under the coa hing of Superintendent Cutforth members made good progress and with further practice should give a good account of themselves.
As it is intended to enter at least another two teams to represent the division, a full attendance is requested for next Monday evening, when the final selections will be made.
