MOTORISTS’ VISION OBSTRUCTED
WILLOWS AT BRIDGE OVER WAIMEA STREAM A complaint about obstruction to motorists’ vision caused by willows at the Glenure bridge crossing the Waimea stream was received by the Southland County Council at its meeting yesterday from the Automobile Association (Southland). The council decided to have the willows trimmed. The association also wrote about the nuisance caused to motorists by gorse on the Waikaka Valley road. It was decided to serve notice under the Noxious Weeds Act on the propertyowners concerned.
