BLUFF NEWS
STORMY WEATHER At Bluff the weather yesterday was very stormy. Before sundown on Wednesday the rain began and continued almost without a break until daylight. There were intermittent thunder and lightning visitations from early yesterday morning until before midday, when the weather began to clear, but this was only temporary as during the afternoon and evening cold rain and hail showers continued to fall. No work was possible on the waterfront yesterday. EUCHRE TOURNAMENT The winners at the weekly R.S.A. tournament were Mesdames A. Nightingale and H. McQuarrie, Messrs F. te Koete and L. Mortimer. Mrs J. H. Nicol was in charge. LADIES’ BOWLING CLUB Because of inclement weather yesterday the official opening of the Bluff Ladies’ Bowling Club was postponed until a later date.
