BERTHS ON SHIPS NOW AVAILABLE
NEW ZEALANDERS IN AUSTRALIA (P.A.) WELLINGTON, September 22. For some weeks because of a lack of shipping accommodation several hundred persons have been unable to obtain passages to New Zealand from Australia. Some are New Zealanders desiring to return home. The Prime Minister (the Hon. P. Fraser) announced today that at the request of the Government shipping arrangements had now been completed to remedy this state of affairs and those who had been temporarily stranded would have an opportunity of returning to the Dominion. The matter was the subject of a question in the House of Representatives last week.
