POLISH RELIEF FUND
CONTRIBUTION FROM JEWS IN NEW ZEALAND (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 22. The secretary-general of the Polish Relief Fund in London has written expressing appreciation of a contribution of £1613 from Jewish people living in New Zealand. This money was forwarded through the National Patriotic Fund Board and supplemented a grant of £12,500 made by the board earlier in the year from its sick and wounded account for the same purpose. “I can assure you we are indeed most deeply grateful for this further splendid support,” states the letter acknowledging the contribution from the New Zealand Jewish community. “New Zealanders have indeed been most extraordinarily generous in the assistance they have given to our work.”
