HEDGE FIRE IN GLADSTONE TERRACE

Burning hedge cuttings set alight a large macrocarpa hedge in Gladstone Terrace yesterday morning. The hedge burned fiercely and the help of the Invercargill Fire Brigade was called twice, at 9.38 a.m., and again at 11.17 a.m., when flames broke out in another place. The outbreak was extinguished without difficulty.
