GORE TROTTING CLUB

ALTERATIONS TO BOXING DAY PROGRAMME

Several alterations were made in the programme for the Boxing Day meeting of the club at a meeting of the committee of the Gore Trotting Club. The first trotters’ race will now be harness instead of saddle, the Gore Trotting Cup will be at 4min 46sec class instead of 4min 45sec, and the Final Handicap will be renamed the F. Wallis Memorial Handicap, while the class for this event will be changed from 2min 56sec to 2min 57sec. A decision was made to make gifts of three guineas to the prize fund of the Gore A. and P. Association and five guineas to the furnishing fund of the Gore women’s rest room.

The new programme for Boxing Day was drawn up as follows:— Croydon Handicap, for unhoppled and half-hoppled trotters only; of £155, second horse £25 and third £l5 from the stakes; one mile and a-half; harness; class 3.49. Trial Handicap, of £230, one mile and a-half; harness; class 3.43. The race will be run in divisions, and £BO will be added to the stakes for place money. In each division the first horse will receive £ll5, the second £25 and the third £l5. After the close of acceptances the divisions will be treated as separate races and the totalizator will open on each separately. The second division will be run after race five.
