MR J. S. H. ORR ELECTED PRESIDENT (PA..) WELLINGTON, July 28. The annual meeting of the Railway Officers’ Institute elected the following officers: President, Mr J. S. H. Orr (Invercargill); vice-presidents, Messrs M. J. Forde and S. F. Clarke; general treasurer, Mr G. R. Wilson; executive, Messrs A. Stead, F. A. Ellis; F. D. Trewern, W. E. Henai, J. S. Lynch, C. D. Abrahall, A. F. Gilmore and T. D. Lewis; auditors, Messrs A. F. Taylor and B. Tangney. Mr Forde was re-elected editor of The Advocate.
Mr Orr has been in Southland for many years and is wagon supply officer in the district traffic manager’s office at Invercargill.
