FURTHER E.P.S. REHEARSAL
A decision to hold a more advanced rehearsal of the Invercargill Emergency Precautions organization at an early date was made at a meeting of controllers held at the Town Hall yesterday. The Mayor (Mr J. R. Martin) presided. The meeting was called to consider the holding of a street procession of members of the Emergency Reserve Corps. Regret was expressed at the refusal of the Home Guard authorities to collaborate in the procession, which it was felt, would have given valuable publicity to both organizations, and it was decided to abandon this project in the meantime in favour of a further rehearsal.
