QUEENSTOWN

CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW A most successful showing of chrysanthemums was held in the Parish hall under the auspices of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Although the entries were not quite up to last year’s, the financial side showed a slightly better return than previously. The premier bloom was a Pink Tutner, shown by Mrs G. Thomas. Special prizes were awarded as follows:— Most points in chrysanthemums.— Mrs J. W. Miller 1, Mrs G. Thomas 2. Most points in decorative section.— Miss Southberg 1, Mrs Hansen 2. Most points in vegetables.—Mr Hansen 1, Miss Southberg 2.
