Mainly Fair And Cold (Special) WELLINGTON, May 20. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate south-westerly to westerly winds freshening at times. An isolated shower or two on the coast, but the weather mainly fair and cold; seas moderating. Following is the Dominion forecast:— Further scattered showers over the Auckland peninsula and on Southland and Otago coasts; elsewhere fair to fine and cold, but slowly rising temperatures. Winds.—Moderate to fresh, decreasing, south-westerly. Seas (New Zealand waters): Moderate, but a considerable southerly swell on the east coast. Eastern Tasman Sea: Fresh south-westerly winds and rather rough seas, but wind and sea moderating.
