PRIVATE SCREENING OF FILMS

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 19. The Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, announces that steps have been taken to tighten up the prohibition on screening films in private houses and other unauthorized places. The screening and storage of inflammable films were illegal, he said, and if a fire occurred in an unlicensed building where a film was stored the insurance policy might be nullified.
