The Hon. Mr Justice Kennedy arrived in Invercargill yesterday for the quarterly session of the Supreme Court, which begins today. Mr H. H. Banks, of Auckland, national lecturer of the Theosophical Society in New Zealand, is visiting Invercargill. He is engaged on a lecture tour of the Dominion.
Mr C. R. Kean, controller of aeronautical inspection in the Air Department, has been appointed to the Royal New Zealand Air Force as Director of Aeronautical Production.
Mr E. F. Carpenter, assistant chief inspector in the Aeronautical Inspection Division of the Air Department, has been appointed to the Royal New Zealand Air Force as senior aeronautical inspector. Mr Eric A. Nichol, formerly of Wellington, son of Mrs A. W. Nicol, Christchurch, has received an important appointment in the United States Office of Production, Washington. He was an administrative consultant to the Budget Bureau. In his new post he has the title Administrative Assistant to the Associate Director-General, Mr Sidney Hillman.
