MR SEMPLE’S MISSION

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, May 17. The Hon. R. Semple sailed for Sydney by the Monterey at midday with a view to seeking co-operation with the Australian authorities in speeding up the New Zealand war effort. He was accompanied by Mr Norman Hutchings, of the Department of Public Works, and Mr J. T. Waugh, his private secretary.
