WOMEN REGISTER IN BRITAIN

(8.0.W.) RUGBY, May 15. Approximately 125,000 women registered under the national service scheme and are now due for interviews. The Minister of Labour, Mr Ernest Bevin, stated in the House of Commons that the number of women born in 1920 and now registered was 429,820 and 281,961 of those born in 1919 had registered on May 3.
