WOMAN FINED AT AUCKLAND
INTOXICATED IN CHARGE OF A MOTOR-CAR (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 20. “It is rarely we find a woman before the Court on a charge like this.” said the Magistrate, Mr J. Morling, when dealing with Katrina Rossiter who admitted being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car. The defendant drove a car on the wrong side of the road and was involved in a minor collision. Counsel said the defendant took some gin to a woman friend in hospital but the friend did not want it and the defendant and her husband consumed some of it. The defendant was fined £lO and her driving licence was cancelled and she was prohibited from obtaining another licence for one year.
