ENTERTAINMENT AT LUMSDEN
A party was held recently at the ! residence of Mr and Mrs H. Dore, Lumsden, in honour of Miss V. Tom- : lin and Mr G. Small on the occasion oi . ,their approaching marriage. The evening was spent in games, competitions ’ and community singing, with items by I Mesdames H. Dore and A. Reidy and 1 Mr M. Milburn. . , : On behalf of members of the church and vestry, Mr Ward presented the guests with a dinner wagon. Messrs Clearwater and G. Staite and Mrs H. Dore also spoke and Mr Small replied. EUCHRE PARTY AT PUKEARUHE A euchre party was held in the Pukearuhe Hall in aid of school funds. There was a 'fair attendance and the following were the prize-winners for ' the evening:—Women, Mrs John Baird 1, Mrs J. H. Thomson 2. Men, Mr R. | Thomson 1, Mr H. Carter 2.
