OVERSEAS MAILS Australian States, Wednesday, July 17, at 6 a.m. Empire Air Mail, including Australia every Friday, at 12.30 p.m. TRANS-PACIFIC AIR MAIL The chief postmaster advises that the flight of the trans-Pacific air mail carrying mails will commence from Auckland on July 20 and fortnightly thereafter. The closing time at Invercargill has been fixed for 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16. The rate for each half-ounce for letters for each of the countries is as follows: New Caledonia, 1/-; Hawaii, 2/6, United States or America, 4/- and Great Britain, 6/3.
