BRITISH CHILDREN FOR N.Z.
ALTERATION MADE IN SCHEME (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 27. An alteration made in the scheme under which children evacuated from Britain are to come to the Dominion provides for the nomination by New Zealanders of those children who would be cared for in the homes of relations and friends in New Zealand. Announcing this today, the Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. W. E. Parry) said that the right of nomination would greatly hearten people in the Dominion whose relations in England, had children to be evacuated for safety. The New Zealand Government was setting up the necessary organization to facilitate this arrangement. Any New Zealanders wishing to nominate children of relations or friends in Britain should send particulars to the Internal Affairs Department, Wellington, and should give the names and j full addresses of their British relations | dr friends and specify the names of j children whom they particularly desire to have with them.
