GIFT EVENING AT LIMEHILLS
FUTURE BRIDE HONOURED On Monday evening a gift evening was held in the Limehills hall in honour of Miss Nan Stewart, who is soon to be married. There was a large crowd present and the evening was spent in dancing, music being supplied by Messrs J. McMaster and D. Brown. Extras were played by Mrs H. Scully and Miss P. Cowan. A tap dance was given by Miss Mary Hamilton. Mr J. Bartlett was master of ceremonies.
After supper, Mr W. Swale expressed appreciation at the large crowd present to do honour to their guest. He said they were all sorry to lose Miss Stewart from the district as she had taken an active part in all the social activities. On behalf of her many friends and the residents of the district he asked her to accept a large assortment of gifts with very best wishes for her future happiness. Mr J. Roscow replied on behalf of Miss Stewart, thanking the speaker for his kind remarks and the people for their many gifts. Among those present were Mr and Mrs J. A. Stewart, Mr and Mrs W.
