ANOTHER MINE FOUND
PORT OF AUCKLAND CLOSED
NAVY CARRIES OUT MORE SWEEPING (From Our Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, June 26. It is understood that because of the discovery of another mine, the naval authorities deemed it wise to close the port of Auckland until further sweeping had been carried out. After 'the loss of the liner Niagara last week two mines were discovered on successive days and the latest discovery has resulted in further prompt action by the Navy. It is reliably learned that every precaution is being taken in the interests of safety.
