WOMEN’S DIVISION BROWNS.— At the June meeting Mrs A. Hamilton presided over a fair attendance of members. Miss Fogo, of the Association for Country Education, gave an interesting talk on wheatmeal and its uses. It was proposed to knit one pair of socks for each soldier leaving the district. Competitions resulted:—Best bloom, Mrs Hamilton 1, Mrs Knott and Miss M. Knight 2 equal, Mrs Buchanan 3. Wheatmeal biscuits, Mrs Silk 1, Miss B. Lambie 2, Mrs Arnott and Miss M. Knight 3 equal.
