THORNBURY READING OF PLAYS
At the fortnightly meeting of the Thornbury Debating Club and Women’s Educational Association the following plays were read: “Followers,” “Just a Litle Bit of Life” and “The Touchstone.” Those taking part were: Mesdames R. Buchan and G. Carter. Misses A. Perry, Jean and Jessie Hall and N. Fallow, Messrs W. Taylor, L. Covney. .1. Fraser and the Rev. H. Wright. The next meeting on July 3 is to take the form of a lecture. Mr and Mrs J. D. Gilmore, of Invercargill, have consented to give a coloured lantern lecture on a world tour.
