Overcast And Cool
(Special to The Times) - WELLINGTON, June 14. The special weather forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office is:— Light to fresh north-westerly to westerly winds. Weather cloudy to overcast and cool, with occasional light rain or drizzle. Seas slight to moderate. Following is the Dominion forecast:— Weather for the most part fair except for scattered morning drizzle or fog, especially in the North Island. Conditions gradually becoming unsettled, however, in the western and far southern areas of the South Island. Sharp frosts in the south again tonight, but temperatures rather milder tomorrow. General Situation.—An anti-cyclone extends over New Zealand from the north Tasman Sea. Winds.— Light to moderate ana rather variable winds, but with directions from a westerly quarter predominating. Seas (New Zealand waters).—Slight or moderate. Eastern Tasman sea.— Light to fresh south-westerly winds in the northern portion and north-wester-lies in the southern portion. Seas slight to moderate.
