DOMINION PILOT MISSING
BELIEVED TO BE SAFE Cabled -advice has been received by Mr and Mrs C. S. Verity, Craigmore Downs, Cave, . that their son, Pilot Officer Victor Verity, is missing, but is believed to be safe. Pilot Officer Verity, who is 21, is an old boy of the Timaru High School. He left New Zealand in February 1939 to join the Royal Air Force and completed his course before the outbreak of the war in September last. Since September he has been on active service with the Fighter Command.
