HIGH SCHOOL BAND IN WELLINGTON
To The Editor Sir, —As a former Southlandei' I desire to mention how proud I was at the performance of the Southland Boys’ High School band at the Anzac Service held in Wellington last Thursday. The band is a great credit to Southland; and the people responsible for its organization, together with those responsible for the collection of funds to enable the band to come to Wellington are justly entitled to feel proud. Apart from its musical performance the splendid appearance and marching of the band has drawn great admiration from the people of Wellington and visitors from all over the Dominion. — Yours, etc., W.P.S. Wellington, April 26, 1940.
