DEATH OF FOOTBALLER
(United Press Association) WHANGAREI, April 29. A fatal football accident occurred at Okaihau during a practice match on Saturday. A well-known Maori, Jimmy Nehua, aged 26, of Okaihau, broke his neck as a result of a heavy fall. He was taken to the Kawahawa Hospital, where he died yesterday. MAN DIES FROM SCALDS TIMARU, April 29. The death occurred in the Timaru Hospital this morning of Roland Leigh Sullivan, aged 32, an employee of the Pareora Freezing Works, who was admitted to hospital on Saturday suffering from severe scalds. Sullivan, who was married, with seven children, had completed his day’s work and was cleaning out a container of boiling water when he was scalded.
