PATRIOTIC BALL AT RIVERTON
CAMPAIGN FOR FUNDS OPENED The Patriotic Committee at Riverton held a ball to open its campaign for the collection of funds towards the patriotic appeal. Mr A. R. Dickson was master of ceremonies. Extras were played by Miss C. Hancock and Mr R. Henry. Among those present were: Dr C. H. Gordon and Mrs Gordon, Dr E. S. Fossey and Mrs Fossey, Mr and Mrs C. B. Matthewson, Mr and Mrs R. K. The general arrangements for the ball were in the hands of Messrs F. Conn, F. L. Girvan, J. A. Lee, V. Rose and A. D. Mclvor. During the evening a lucky spot waltz was won by Miss P. Bailey and Mr G. A. Wilkes.
