ANGLICAN - SYNOD
To The Editor Sir,—That church which began so well with the martyred saints, St. Latimer, St. Ridley and St. Cranmer, is now once more holding -a synod. I look to see whether that synod is repudiating the pacifist doctrine, even a defensive war is contrary to the will of God, inculcated by the previous
synod. But so far I have seen no mention of the subject. But I do see that the bishops and the clergy are trying to undermine the rights of the laity. The flimsy excuse of lack of money will deceive no one. Let the laity be on their guard or soon they will be allowed to communicate only in one kind and the sacred cup will be denied them. —Yours, etc., J. P. DAKIN. February 20, 1940.
