Possible Threat In Balkans ACTION TAKEN BY TURKEY (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) (Received, February 20, 10.30 p.jn.) ANKARA, February 19. Turkey has decided to invoke the National Defence Law authorized by Parliament on January 18. The application of this law is interpreted to mean that Turkey feels that she and the Allies are threatened in the Balkans. The law embraces measures strengthening the defences, controlling imports and exports and industrial reorganization to enable the provision of supplies for the armed forces. The Prime Minister of Rumania (M. Tatarescu), announcing a new censorship decree, issued a statement in which he Said: “Rumania’s foreign policy has been subject to a hidden campaign aimed at embarrassing the Government and sabotaging the unity of Rumania. These saboteurs will be firmly suppressed.”
