BUTCHER COMMITTED FOR TRIAL
(United Press Association) AUCKLAND, February 17. A butcher named Matthew Alexander Doyle, aged 25, was charged in the Magistrate’s Court that on January 27 at Clark’s beach, with intent to do grievous bodily harm to Patrick John Boland, he did wound Boland. Evidence was given that an argument on political and religious grounds occurred at • dance hall at midnight, ending in Boland being found with a serious wound in the throat.
The accused pleaded not guilty and reserved his defence. He was committed to the Supremo Court for trial.
