CONCERT PRESENTED AT GEORGETOWN

MANY AND VARIED ITEMS

A varied programme was presented in the Georgetown hall last night by Miss Veronica Logan’s concert party and assisting artists. The programme included songs, dances, violin solos, accordion solos and recitations. The attendance was not what it might have been, but those present enjoyed the items. A singer who created an impression was Miss Joan Burke, who sang two brackets of songs. Her items were among the best of the evening. Mr H. Anthony, who was stage manager, sang a song of his own composition, which was well received. Miss Marie Searle was the accompanist. The programme was as follows:— Dance (ballad), Misses R. Smith; piano accordion solo, Mr Harry Field; song, Miss Joan Burke; dance trio, Misses M. Dawson, A. Morrison, T. Freeman (pupils ot Miss Logan); song, Mr H. Anthony; trio, Misses C. Freeman, F. Freeman, G. Toole; song, Miss Alice Gilfedder; recitation, Marist pupils; dance, Misses M. Dawson, M. Toole, G. Toole, C. Freeman, T. Freeman, A.
