CONCERT PRESENTED AT GEORGETOWN
MANY AND VARIED ITEMS
A varied programme was presented in the Georgetown hall last night by Miss Veronica Logan’s concert party and assisting artists. The programme included songs, dances, violin solos, accordion solos and recitations. The attendance was not what it might have been, but those present enjoyed the items. A singer who created an impression was Miss Joan Burke, who sang two brackets of songs. Her items were among the best of the evening. Mr H. Anthony, who was stage manager, sang a song of his own composition, which was well received. Miss Marie Searle was the accompanist. The programme was as follows:— Dance (ballad), Misses R. Freeman, M. Simth, S. Morrison, V. Morrison, B. Watson, I. McLean, M. Martin (pupils of Miss Logan); song, Master William Burke; recitation, Marist pupils; violin solo, Mr Ray Lyons; song, Miss Alice Gilfedder; dance duo, Misses R. Freeman and. M. Smith; piano accordion solo, Mr Harry Field; song, Miss Joan Burke; dance trio, Misses M. Dawson, A. Morrison, T. Freeman (pupils ot Miss Logan); song, Mr H. Anthony; trio, Misses C. Freeman, F. Freeman, G. Toole; song, Miss Alice Gilfedder; recitation, Marist pupils; dance, Misses M. Dawson, M. Toole, G. Toole, C. Freeman, T. Freeman, A. Morrison, (pupils of Miss Logan); songs, Mr Cyril Maynard; song, Miss Joan Burke; piano accordion selections, Mr Harry Field; dance, Misses M. Dawson, M. Toole, G. Toole, C. Freeman, T. Freeman, A. Morrison (pupils of Miss Logan); song, Miss F. Freeman. At the conclusion of the programme bouquets were presented to Miss Searle and Miss Logan.
